Good discussion, but I do believe it is a different time nowadays and that no matter the matchup you aren't going to get thousands in attendance at any local game. Too many technology related things for kids and parents to do and only people who go to the games are those with kids or just an overall...

Aren't conferences about geography? There are already enough classifications for districts.

And just wait until Saltsburg, Homer, and Blairsville merge and start kicking LV's butt. Then Purchase Line, Penns Manor and Marion Center will do the same. LOL

BTW, with the exception of big-time D1 basketball and football, the parents of every kid who plays a college sport pay so their kid can continue to play.
