Re: LHAC BBall races...

In any event, over the prior ten seasons Bellwood has two state titles, two district titles and a 21-4 record in the state playoffs, which is pretty nuts.

I can't think of many better consistent girls basketball runs locally.

Re: LHAC BBall races...

2 final 4s I would say that alone is better then just winning 1 game in the states every year. And to get to the final 4 that’s 3 wins each time. Well, for one you are kind of moving the goal posts on your initial statement and two McCort has also advanced to the final four twice during this stretc...

Re: LHAC BBall races...

Not that I really wanted to do the research here, but I figured what the heck.

I had McCort down for 14-6 in the state playoffs from 2014-through last year, 10 seasons worth, plus with four District 6 Champions.

I had Portage down for 6-5 in the state playoffs with 2 D6 titles.

Re: LHAC BBall races...

Outside of Bellwood, McCort probably has the most playoff success in girls basketball the past ten years if I had to guess. Usually seems like they win a game or two in the PIAA playoffs.

Re: LHAC BBall races...

I truthfully think Berlin is the best team in the area and would win the LHAC.

Re: LHAC BBall races...

The girls field is totally set, I believe.

Bishop Guilfoyle (E2) at Bishop McCort (W1)
Forest Hills (W2) at Hollidaysburg (E1)

Re: LHAC BBall races...

The boys field is almost set. (E1) Bishop Guilfoyle (W1) Johnstown. (E2) Central (W2) ??? Chestnut Ridge, Westmont, and Forest Hills are all 10-3 in section play, so it will come down to the final day of the regular season. Ridge is ahead right now with a 2-0 record against the other two and all it ...

Re: Signing Day

St. Francis announced Chase Somers DL from Huntingdon yesterday. As far as I can tell, the only D6 player in the Red Flash 23-man recruiting class. I did not catch any D5/6 players in RMU's and Duquesne's class either.

LHAC BBall races...

Heading into the final stretch run of the regular season. Quick look at what the LHAC races look like. West Boys 1. Johnstown (14-1): Johnstown was upset by Tyrone on Friday for its first league loss. The Trojans still have command for the top spot with tiebreaker wins over any team that could catch...
