I remember watching the great Willie Mays floundering around, embarrassing himself several years after he should have retired. It was sad.

If this is indeed his last go around, how will this effect recruiting in the next couple of years? Surely the potential recruits will understand that he won't be around for their whole tenure at PSU. Will they want to be caught in a transition situation?

Put to death.
As a nation, are we that much into quantity that it has affected our thinking? Isn't that why places like Hoss's and Ponderosa are so popular, quanity? For some of us, quantity is now a factor in how we perceive the death penalty. If you're a mass murderer, like Tim McVey, Richard Speck, or Jeffrey ...

You just PREVENTED your opponent from scoring, but did not score yourself. You took him out of a scoring opportunity. Just like a blocked field goal attempt. Dee-fense, Dee-fense, Dee-fense.

Getting back to horseshoes for a minute. Let's say your opponent goes first. Tosses a shoe that leans against the peg. You're next. You intentionally knock his shoe away from the peg. That's defense baby!!!! Keeping your opponent from scoring.......The knock about track running events is that anyone...

September 14th, 1996. Forest hills goes to Chestnut Ridge and D-stroys them 53-6. FH led 30-0 at the end of the 1st quarter. And we're not talkin' Vo-Tech here. Jeff Baer and the Lions, which were no slouch team that year, didn't know what hit them. 2nd string for FH played most of the game after th...

There is ONE main reason why track is not considered a difficult sport in the minds of many, including ESPN. The reason: In track, like in bowling and golf, no one has to play defense. You just do your thing the best you can. But you can't stop your opponent from doing his best. The toughest part to...

Bilger
Like Shanksville, Hyndman does not have a football team. Hence the comparison to Ferndale is null and void. I'm talkin' a small school with a football program who sent a kid to LHU. A kid who had a successful football career at that level.

Bilger Headin' To LHU
If I'm not mistaken, from '99 through '02, a Wissinger kid from Ferndale started at linebacker for LHU. Ferndale only graduates about 60 kids. As an A school, you can't get much smaller than that.
