The education chair, Peter Schweyer, has basically said that plans on letting this die in the committee phase.

Ditto. Far too long in coming to fruition. Go back to old 4 class system for publics, with 5th for privates & charters, any that recruit.
It ain't over until it's over.

Exactly, Non-Boundary Major and Non-Boundary Minor . Let them recruit. Let the best players play with the best players if parents want to send their kids. People would much rather watch this than for them to play a public without the advantage, on average.

Union playing Berlin in the public finals last year would've been crazy attendance.

I'd love to see it happen, but it never will.

Non-boundary/Private schools have to much power/$ in Harrisburg.

I would think it would be better for them anyhow. They'll have better competition in playoffs. More scouts would go to those types of games. Lincoln Park playing Imani makes all the sense in the world. If I'm a college scout, that's the one I want to go to.

That guy went to Allentown Central Catholic, I wonder why he would want that to die?

It’s about time. Real state champions. Home grown and kids from the same school, area code and state.

Pitt Trib Article Lombardi We have a school problem

Post by Rumorman78 »

In Sat. Pitt Tribune newspaper, an article PIAA Executive Director Bob Lombardi concerning Private vs. Public schools 'We have a school problem'. Interesting article. You can go to Trib. online site to read article. My comp. skills are awful , or I would have put article on forum.
