Week Two District Six Class AAAA Power Rankings
1. Johnstown 2-0 Defeated Bishop Carroll 42-16 Next up: Forest Hills Last Week: #1
The Trojans retain the top spot after an easy win over Bishop Carroll on Friday. Johnstown coasted to an easy 42-0 halftime lead relatively easy and now find themselves 2-0. This week's test should prove to be a little more difficult. Forest Hills will come to Trojan Stadium, and there should be some offensive fireworks, as both teams seem to rely on big plays. I just think Johnstown will be able to come up with a few more of them and move to 3-0.
2. DuBois 1-1 Lost to Conneaut 34-33 Next up: @ Meadville Last Week: #2
DuBois stays at number two after a tough one point loss to Conneaut Area. Conneaut has been a very strong program of late out of District 10, and keeping it to one point on the road isn't the worst thing in the world for the Beavers. Now we get to see what the score will be for the rematch against Meadville. If you recall the DuBois and Meadville game drew national attention for their game last year, with DuBois losing 107-90. We'll see if they can top that, or come somewhat close this year.
3. Clearfield 1-1 Defeated Penns Valley 21-7 Next up: Central Last Week: #3
Clearfield bounced back from an opening week loss to knock off Penns Valley last week. The game was a little closer than I anticipated, but it was a win nonetheless. They get Central this week at home in what will be one of the games of the year in the Mountain League. Clearfield handed Central one of their two losses all of last year, so Central will come in hungry.
