Week Three District Six Class AAAA Power Rankings

Post by Crimson's Ghost »

1. Johnstown 3-0 Defeated Forest Hills 40-0   Next up: Westmont   Last: #1
Johnstown was all over Forest Hills last week and picked up a 40-0 win. The Trojans shut down a potent passing attack on defense, and used a powerful running game to pick up the victory. Bryce Gibson had a sensational performance with 189 rushing yards and two touchdowns on just 13 carries.  Johntown will host Westmont this Friday night. Although Westmont is coming off a loss, they can be a dangerous opponent. Johnstown has struggled with Westmont through the years, and will need to play well to get to 4-0.

2. Clearfield 2-1  Defeated Central 30-28   Next up: @ Huntingdon  Last: #3
I have Clearfield moving up to number two with an impressive win over Central-Martinsburg on Friday.  Both programs have been very good of late, but it was Clearfield that was able to hang on and win in the end.  The Bison rode an impressive rushing performance by Seth Caldwell, who picked up 164 yards and two touchdowns.  They have another big game this week with a trip to Huntingdon on Friday night.

3. Somerset Defeated Cambria Heights 27-0  Next up: Bishop McCort   Last: Not Ranked
Somerset got back on track with a shutout victory over Cambria Heights last week. The Golden Eagles are now 2-1 on the year, but have some difficult games on the horizon. We should find out a lot about this team starting on Friday as they face a skilled Bishop McCort team. They follow up that game with meetings against Westmont and Johnstown, giving Somerset three tough tests in a row.
