Week Three District Six Class AA Power Rankings

Post by Crimson's Ghost »

1. Ligonier Valley 3-0  Defeated Northern Cambria 52-6   Next up: Penns Manor  Last: #1
Ligonier just simply overpowered Northern Cambria last week. Many thought the Colts could give Ligonier a game, but that was not meant to be. If Northern Cambria can't hang with LV, which teams from the Heritage Conference can?  Penns Manor beat the Rams last year, we'll see if Roger Beitel's team can get some revenge on Friday.

2. Bishop McCort 2-1  Lost to Bishop Guilfoyle 31-14   Next up: @ Somerset  Last: #2
Bishop McCort was handed a multiple score loss to Bishop Guilfoyle on Friday.  It's hard to punish a team for losing to one of the best teams in the state. McCort will look to rebound against Somerset on Friday, which won't be an easy task.

3. Bellwood-Antis 2-1 Defeated Claysbug-Kimmel 33-13  Next up: Everett   Last: #4
Bellwood rolled past Claysburg-Kimmel to improve to 2-1. Senior quarterback Jarrett Tanneyhill put on an absolute show with 242 passing yards and 5 touchdown passes against the Bulldogs. They could use another solid performance from their senior quarterback with 2-1 Everett coming to town.

4. Mt. Union 2-1 Defeated Tussey Mountain 43-13 Next up: Southern Huntingdon  Last: #5
Last week had to feel good for the Trojans, as they were finally able to get something going offensively. After some discouraging offensive outputs to start the year, perhaps last week was the turnaround they needed.

5. Richland 2-1 Defeated Central Cambria 30-27   Next up: @ Bedford    Last: Not Ranked
Richland gets back into the rankings following a win over Central Cambria. The Rams are still a bit of an unknown, as we have seen some good and bad with this team to this point. This game this Friday against Bedford on the road is pivotal for both sides, and we should learn something from Richland this week. They've beaten a pair of 0-3 teams to this point, Bedford should provide a much tougher test.
