Week Four District Six Class AA Power Rankings

Post by Crimson's Ghost »

1. Ligonier Valley 4-0 Defeated Penns Manor 47-6  Next up: @ United   Last: #1
Ligonier's reign of terror over the Heritage Conference continued last week with a 41 point win over Penns Manor. They are outscoring opponents 216-12 through four games, and will look to keep it rolling at United on Friday.

2. Bishop McCort 3-1  Defeated Somerset 31-7  Next up: Bedford  Last: #2
Bishop McCort handled 4A Somerset on the road last weekend in a statement win for the Crushers. They were dominant on defense, as Somerset's lone score came in the final seconds.  McCort gets another test this Friday when fellow a fellow 3-1 team, Bedford, makes the trip to the Point Stadium.

3. Bellwood-Antis 3-1 Defeated Everett 28-6  Next up: Moshannon Valley  Last: #3
Bellwood won their third straight last week with a convincing win over Everett. Senior Quarterback Jarrett Tanneyhill posted a 258 yard performance with 2 passing touchdowns. He is having an outstanding senior season to date, as Bellwood has one of the most effective passing offenses in the region.

4. Mt. Union 3-1 Defeated Southern Huntingdon 23-13  Next up: @ West Branch    Last: #4
The Trojans have now won three straight since their season opening loss to Huntingdon.  Mt. Union should be able to keep the streak going for a few weeks. West Branch isn't a pushover, but if they get through that, there is a clear path to set up some really meaningful games with Bellwood and Northern Bedford.

5. West Branch 2-2  Defeated Glendale 27-0  Next up: Mt. Union  Last: Not Ranked
Nobody seems to be willing to grab this fifth spot.  Richland and Westmont are certainly up for the running, but they need to prove it in the win column. For now, it's worth keeping West Branch in the conversation. They pitched a shutout over Glendale on Friday, and they are showing signs of improvement from last season.
