Week Six District Six Class AAA Power Rankings

Post by Crimson's Ghost »

1. Central 5-1   Defeated Chestnut Ridge 28-7   Next up: Philipsburg-Osceola   Last Week - #1
Surprise, surprise. Alex Hoenstine scored three touchdowns in leading the Central Dragons to a victory.  He also eclipsed the 1,000 yard mark for the season in rushing.  Central returns home to host Philipsburg with the hopes of moving to 6-1.

2. Juniata 5-1  Defeated Huntingdon 21-7   Next up: Newport   Last Week - #2
In a rare meeting with a fellow District Six team, Juniata knocked off Huntingdon.  We almost needed that for context, since their schedule is played on the other half of the state.  Now it's easy to gauge how good this team is.  They face Newport this Friday, and the Buffaloes are 6-0 themselves. Should be another good test for Juniata.

3. Tyrone 4-2   Defeated Bald Eagle  35-14   Next up: Clearfield   Last Week - #4
Denver Light returned to the lineup at quarterback, and got his team the victory.  The junior tossed two touchdown passes in his return.  Now Tyrone has a big one with 4A Clearfield.  A win here would be a big statement from the Golden Eagles.

4. Penn Cambria 4-2   Lost to Bishop Guilfoyle 35-0   Next up: Cambria Heights   Last Week - #3
I drop Penn Cambria down a spot with their loss to Bishop Guilfoyle.  Some thought Penn Cambria would hang in there a little better, but that wasn't the case. I look for them to rebound this week at home against Cambria Heights.

5. Bedford 3-3  Lost to Westmont 21-16  Next up: @ Johnstown  Last Week - #5
Bedford has now lost two straight games after their 3-1 start.  They will look to stop the bleeding this week,  but will have to do it against the 6-0 Johnstown Trojans on the road. Easier said than done.
