Week Six District Six Class A Power Rankings

Post by Crimson's Ghost »

1. Bishop Guilfoyle  6-0  Defeated Penn Cambria 35-0  Next up: @ Bishop Carroll   Last Week - #5
Some thought Bishop Guilfoyle might get a game from Penn Cambria, but once again the Marauders shined for a 5 touchdown victory.  That win is now their 38th straight victory.  They should have little trouble getting to 39 against 0-6 Bishop Carroll this week.

2. Homer Center  6-0   Defeated United 61-0  Next up: @ Ligonier Valley    Last Week - #2
I figured Homer Center would win last week, but did not see it by 61 points. The Wildcats are playing great football but will get put to the test this week with a trip to the overwhelming conference favorite, Ligonier.  It could be the game of the year in the Heritage Conference.

3. Portage 5-1  Defeated North Star 45-13  Next up: @ Windber   Last Week - #3
Normally when Portage travels to Windber, it's a big deal. Times have changed, and the Mustangs should roll this week and be 6-1 heading into the Berlin game.

4. Blairsville  6-0   Defeated Penns Manor 15-9   Next up: @ United   Last Week - #4
Blairsville just keeps on winning games. They held off Penns Manor for a close, but much needed victory. The Bobcats will look to make it 7-0 when they go to United this Friday.

5. Juniata Valley 4-2  Defeated Northern Bedford 20-14   Next up - @ Claysburg-Kimmel  Last Week - Not ranked
Juniata Valley jumps back into the rankings with a big win over Northern Bedford.  The Hornets are quietly having a really nice season. Their 2 losses are by a combined four points.  If they can start closing out close games, they should be fine.
