Week Seven District Six Class AAAA Power Rankings

Post by Crimson's Ghost »

1. Johnstown 7-0 Defeated Bedford 30-6  Next up: @ Bishop McCort  Last Week: #1
Johnstown took care of business against Bedford, and moved to 7-0. The stage is set for the big cross-town game against the undefeated Trojans and the 6-1 Bishop McCort Crimson Crushers.  It's always a big game when the two schools meet, but it certainly feels bigger with the two teams being really good.

2. Clearfield 6-1 Defeated Tyrone 22-3  Next up: @ Bald Eagle   Last Week: #2
The Bison scored a big road win over Tyrone to improve to 6-1. Clearfield has been rolling since their loss in week 0, and this team is actually tied with Johnstown atop the District 5/6/9 standings despite being a game behind in the loss column.

3. Bellefonte 4-3  Defeated Penns Valley 35-7   Next up: Central   Last Week: Not Ranked
Bellefonte moves into the rankings with a win and a Dubois loss.  The Red Raiders are playing some of their best football in years, and have a big opportunity to face 6-1 Central on Friday.  It would be probably their biggest win in a long time, and one of the upsets of the entire season.

Just as a point of clarification, in one of those "if the season ended today" scenarios, Clearfield is actually the top seed based on district tie-breakers.  The third criteria, winning percentage of opponents, gives the Bison the advantage over the Trojans.
