Same two teams face off again on Monday in Mt. Union

An interesting discussion might be teams on the bubble- that is, right around or below .500, with only a couple games left. Especially if their school dictates a .500 or better record to qualify for playoffs.
It ain't over until it's over.

Does anyone know of any teams below .500 that definitely are or aren't going?Manfred wrote:An interesting discussion might be teams on the bubble- that is, right around or below .500, with only a couple games left. Especially if their school dictates a .500 or better record to qualify for playoffs.

The cutoff is Wednesday, so we'll see who declines entry.

I think what discouraged schools in the past from entering under .500 was the fee. This year with the set number I don't believe there is a fee to enter.

Still, many schools do have the .500 policy. That was always a contributing factor. I think a few people recently mentioned Purchase Line was having this discussion early in the year. Obviously it doesn't matter now since they got hot and won a bunch of games lately. But if they were having that discussion, other schools were too.

Pl discussed this during a school board meeting. It was tabled until this month. Although it doesn't matter now. I know PM. And MC had this policy in the past. I'm not sure if it is still in effect. I do know PM waived it for the baseball team once.Crimson's Ghost wrote:Still, many schools do have the .500 policy. That was always a contributing factor.
