James Franklin
Will average 5.7 million a year for 6 years. Holy better win at least 10 games a year bat man and play in Big Ten championship games. Lots of preseason hype and can they live up to expectations? Barkley a Heisman candidate- Their QB being mentioned as maybe top five QB in Div I. I am sure Franklin is a happy person today LOL but expectations now will be at a high caliber each and every year.
Re: James Franklin
Can you say buyout after 3 years..
Re: James Franklin
Penn State was stuck, if he wins again this year, he could be NFL bound. Had to lock him up.
Justin Fields joins five-star rated defensive end Micah Parsons and three-star rated offensive tackle Chris Bleich among prominent decommitments from Penn State’s 2018 class, which dropped to fourth nationally in Rivals’ class rankings after Fields announced his decision.
You know other coaches were telling recruits Franklin was heading to NFL.

Fields decommitted almost 3 months ago and since then PSU has received 11 more verbals including 8 that are rated 4* or better. PSU is back to #1 in rivals rankings. Guess they aren't worried too much about Franklin going anywhere.youngbuck wrote:Penn State was stuck, if he wins again this year, he could be NFL bound. Had to lock him up.

Re: James Franklin
I don't think Franklin would last a year in the NFL.

I agree, which is why I don't think he will leave PSU.knowitall wrote:I don't think Franklin would last a year in the NFL.

Re: James Franklin
Most college coaches aren't cut for the NFL, and same thing with NFL to college.
I think the only thing that would have gotten Franklin out of State College would be if a really attractive SEC school came open and called him. I think he's probably content in PSU for a while though with this current contract.

Poor James Franklin...I'm sure he wishes he were making 1.7 million at Pitt with no expectations and a celebratory party if he won 8 games
