PIAA playoffs

Post by dadw/2sons » June 6th, 2014, 11:10 am

I had the opportunity to umpire the P-O Beaver game. I didn't know that Beaver came into the game undefeated. The game was a good clean game with some great hitting. 2 big home runs were hit and a long of line drives by both teams. P-O's freshmen pitcher was solid. I wish I could go see the P-O/BEA game 4. I don't know anything about the East teams, but I can't help thinking the game on Monday is for the state title

Over 1,500 people turned out at PSU's Beard field to watch Bald Eagle defeat Philipsburg-Osceola yesterday 7-2 to advance to the AA Championship at 10:00 AM on Friday. I've been to Bellefonte football games with less of a crowd!

The Bald Eagle/Central Columbia game has been moved to 5:30 PM on Friday to accommodate another school's need to play earlier in the day due to graduation. I'd expect another overflow crowd. Go BEA!
