Do you know how these locations are decided? Downingtown and Wyoming playing basically home games and Richland/Bald Eagle both traveling 2 1/2 hrs to play in SC/CV backyards?

It is based on who is on top of the bracket and it switches every year. If the two districts touch, the game will be in the district of the team on top of the bracket. If the two districts do not touch, the game will be more centrally located

Good info! Probably still could’ve done better on the BEA game with a more eastern D7 site. Don’t think the site will affect the outcome though...

Michael Boytim of the Altoona Mirror pointed out that last year D6 Juniata Valley travelled to Danville to play Lackawanna Trail. This year D6 Guilfoyle is travelling to Danville to play Lackawanna Trail.

Top 10 2021 Pennsylvania recruits according to Rivals.com.

1. Kyle McCord QB Saint Joseph's (Ohio State)
2. Nolan Rucci OL Warwick
3. Marvin Harrison JR WR Saint Joseph's (Ohio State)
4. Elliot Donald DT Pittsburgh Central Catholic
5. Derrick Davis OLB Gateway

6. Tysheem Johnson ATH Neumann-Goretti
7. Elijah Jeudy DE Northeast
8. Nahki Johnson DE West Mifflin (Pitt)
9. Dorien Ford DT Baldwin
10. Jeremiah Trotter Jr. LB Saint Joseph's (Clemson)

So, if you want you will be able to see 5 of the top 10 players in the state, including 4 top-100 recruits. Might even bump into Marvin Harrison and Jeremiah Trotter. Good weekend of football in Blair County, lot of talent on hand.

I believe a School District has to agree to host a game. Heard PIAA reached out to Hempfield to host BEA/CV but they declined.

Yea game sites depend on who is willing to host. Some schools might not be willing to host with regards to paying workers or not getting volunteers. Some stadiums might be winterized as well.

Yeah. I imagine holiday weekend it’s tough to get people. In fact it’s probably hard enough for these schools to get people for their own home games.

I’m shocked PIAA don’t use college stadiums more for neutral site games. Most colleges just ended games compared to high schools that haven’t played for 3-4 weeks.

College stadiums are not used more because the hashes and uprights are different measurements. Some fields do have adjustable uprights. They game can be played on college field with college dimensions but I think the preference is not too if a high school field is available
