Avonworth with an impressive come from behind win over Wilmington. They have won the WPIAL and now advanced to the state title without their star receiver (ineligible for the post season). Richland/ Avonworth would have been a great game. Avonworth/ So Co not so much. Aside from Gateway losing a heartbreaker to a Philly area All star team, the WPIAL having a very strong showing, even with St Joe's Prep's pending demolition of Pittsburgh Central Catholic.
