If a team that qualifies opts out, does the first team out get bumped in? Or is it a bye for the opponent?

Good question...as of now all 4 teams in 3A, the top 10 in 2A and the top 13 in 1A have all opted in.

It's top four teams right? If so, let it sink in that the top ranked A team in the state won't make playoffs. lol

No top 12 in 1A make it. Top 8 in 2A and top 4 in 3A.

Are they really the top-ranked team in class A in the whole state?

No Clairton is ranked number 1 in 1A. Now for AAA I like Tyrone being second. If things stay the same id rather play Penn Cambria yea they can score a lot but there D is suspect. Westmont is just so run heavy if they can control the line of scrimmage you may only get the ball 3 times. BG only had it 6 times in there victory over Westmont.

As of right now BG is ranked #1 on maxpreps. Steelton Highspire is #2 and Clairton is #3. I don't know what you're looking at but that's where I always go. I'm sure it'll change though, I believe they update rankings on Tuesdays.
