Out of curiosity, how many distric championships has Portage played in, and how many, if any, were against one of the Bishops?

2005 undefeated in conference, lost home playoff game to Bellwood
2007 undefeated in conference, lost home playoff game to Purchase Line
2009 undefeated in conference, lost home playoff game to Bellwood
2012 1 loss in conference, lost home playoff game to NC
2018 1 loss in conference, lost home playoff game to Ferndale
2019 1 loss in conference, lost home playoff game to Purchase Line

Easy to pretend that they have not won a district title because of the catholic schools, but let's be realistic, they are a big fish in the Westpac, only one losing season since 2004, but terrible in the playoffs.

How do you think Portage will do in the Heritage? I was a little surprised to see the Windber vs CH score this past weekend. It will be interesting to see how CH will do against a middle LHAC team in FH this week. Any predictions on that one?

Middle of the LHAC team that through their own mistakes, could have been 8-2.
It ain't over until it's over.

Portage will be a top half team in the Heritage Conference most years. It's going to be interesting to see what happens going forward though. I heard the Blacklick Valley-United co-op is happening. What I haven't heard is whether this team will play as United or Blacklick Valley.

Blacklick 'sounds' like it should have a name change under current social climate.

My how things have changed in FH. The other threads are talking about the many great and dominant teams they've had, and now they want credit for 3 'almost-wins' and a good practice.

Why is everyone so down on Portage? I'm very impressed with how consistently good they are with the small enrollment they have. So what if they haven't won a district title. They never go 0-10 and never cancel games when they are over-matched.
