Is it true that Shade didn’t even field a boys basketball team last season?

Was Somerset the biggest loser in all of this? Went from thinking they would make a Somerset County conference to looking at some very long bus rides to still be a cellar dweller.

I don't think that Shade fielded any boys teams this year.

It’s too bad Windber chose not to join the LHAC. The past rivalries (Johnstown, Richland,Westmont) would be renewed, travel distance shortened etc. Some say that enrollment played a part yet Richland & Westmont’s aren’t that different from Windber’s. It used to be that Windber would “Ramble” throughout the state to play games. Is being the Big Dog in a small pond more important than stiff competition?
Windber would be competitive in all sports in the LHAC too bad they took the lesser road.

LHAC going up in flames?

I thought the exact same thing with Windber. I thought they would have been fine in the LHAC. To a lesser extent, I thought the same with Portage.

I guess they DO like being the BIG fish in a small pond. They both made their decisions and best of luck to both. The LHAC moved along and won't miss a beat without them.
