2022-2023 PIAA Football

Wow 3A loses Bedford, PC and Westmont and only gains Bellefonte.

But state title now clearly goes thru Southern Columbia.

This is why they need to go back to 4 classes. If anything they have to join d5 and d6 for AAA.

Joining doesn’t do much with just adding Somerset.

I would guess that it would continue to be D6 and the D5 and D9 together with the winners playing in the state first round. D6 would have 3 teams and D9/D5 would have 4.

Districts have to have 4 to run a tournament.

I love 6 classes.

Why couldn't the PIAA do the United/Blacklick Valley math of 98 plus half of 65? They have the co-op listed beside United's but only the 98 for a total.

District 5 2A will be a nice battle, with Bedford, Berlin, and Chestnut Ridge. Small, but good quality.
