4th major college coach fired mid-season, has there ever been a high school coach fired mid-season?
I know a couple years ago that Quaker Valleys coach called it quits on the eve of camp starting and the assistant led them to the state title game. But couldn't think of a mid-season change.

Most HS Coaches are hired by the school board. Unless some emergency meeting is called, they only meet maybe 1 or 2 times a month. 2 months and a season is over. Many boards also open up their Coach hiring every year, just as a formality. If they like you, no sweat. But if there is a problem, then they might not rehire the Coach.
