The fact that BG is single A is an absolute JOKE! Playing in D6 1A when teams like Glendale and Claysburg have 20ish kids on the roster grades 9-12 and BG has a roster the size of some AAA or AAAA schools, give me a break!

.....And unfortunately, the local media has played a part in all this disparity also...Cannot remember exactly when, but there were times when BG would enter the 'A' bracket as a 5-8 seed, after a couple blemishes to the bigger schools on their schedule..and when they won, guess what..Articles and TV segments galore would proclaim it as a major upset...the whole thing is just hogwash.

The diocese don't even run BG anymore, most of it is privately funded by donor money. Then you add "Academy" on the end of it now, how can anyone even argue a valid point for them anymore??? My Aunt Edith could win a Single A State Championship with the talent they have year in and year out as the coach.

When they brag and boast I always say this... "No matter what they say, at the end of the day... it's ONLY Single A"

Don’t take shots at real Single A schools. Small towns and lots of support for football.

Too bad they have to deal with the AAU/Travel Ball team that would also probably win AA and AAA.

You know when you see the size of the Marauder Marching Band at halftime that you have a school that really doesn’t care about sports. They have such a huge group! Oh. Uhhhh. Nevermind. That’s not the case. They usually run about 10-20 deep.

I wasn't taking a shot at TRUE Single A schools, they should be proud of themselves, I LOVE small town football!!! My point was to take a shot at the AAU/Travel Ball team posing as a Single A team when in reality most year's BG teams would probably win AA, AAA, and AAAA D6 Championships. They want to brag and boast when in reality they play in the SMALLEST classification against teams in playoffs FAR inferior to them who are at a HUGE disadvantage. It's a joke.....

Which crossover game is the most evenly matched game.

on paper, it looks like Forest Hills vs Central , not only evenly matched but has the most riding on the outcome as play off position and a home game goes to the winner.

A Ranger win would move them to 6-4, and climb over Central in the D6 3A race and into the second seed, where they would then likely have a 2 weeks in a row home matchup against Central. Heard Muthler might be missing?

Only if Tyrone loses to CR. Otherwise you will get the Golden Eagles and Central will head to PC.
You play to win the game!!!

Tyrone is the hottest team in the district. Look for another blowout against Ridge.

Then Rangers take care of buisness at home and one of D6 favorite rivalries in Sidman.

Thanks for clarification. What I posted was "fireside chit chat", lol. GL in playoffs. Tyrone will pound Ridge.
