Amen to that! Bedford just opened the basketball job again. Like 5 wins in the last 5 years. I heard Todd Golden is leaving Florida to take it so they should be a team to look out for soon…

not sure Manfred is the source for tea, but heard it was unanimous and not a hard decision.

There should be some interest in this position. anyone have some names, already heard Josh Rearick. cant imagine there aren't some guys on staff already jumping at it.

Anyone other than Brandon Bailey is a lateral move, or worse. And I don't think he is leaving Richland.

This is a really interesting move. I think Myers had a losing record overall as HC at FH, but in the past 3 seasons he was 20 wins and 14 losses. That's not bad. Last year would have likely been a lot better had Richardson not been injured. If the expectation is to go better than 20-14 in three seasons, that's a pretty high bar to set for a HC in the LHAC. With the expansion of the conference and the two boundaryless schools, it's become a really tough conference to play in and win every year. From what I've seen and heard FH isn't exactly poised to be a juggernaut over the next few years either. Will be really interesting to see who ends up with this job, is there someone the school board already has picked out?

This was alot bigger than one or two parents complaining. Every team has a parent or two that are unhappy, but who was the last coach with a winning record that was ousted. if you look back at the noise made about Jake Strayer when he was attacked, he had a ton of support from everyone in the community and within the school. seems odd that Justin didnt?

Something else that really surprises me about this move is the timing of it. If this is the direction that FH was going to go, why wait until March to do it? I would imagine by now that most coaching staffs are taking shape for the upcoming season and likely many schools have started drills and workouts of some sort with their kids to prepare for the upcoming summer sessions. Realistically, it's been 5 months since the 2025 season ended for most high school football teams. Besides the obvious of need of finding a new head coach and that taking until at least April to have that person in place, it seems like this really sets the program back from being able to prepare for the next season.
