Fearless Forecast Standings Updated for Week 9

Post by Roadie »

Official Standings after Week 9

Well, the regular season has come to a close and teams are gearing up for the playoffs. After the dust has settled, there once again is still a tight race for the number one spot. BleacherTrainer has yet again been able to defend his number one ranking. But, Eaglealum, who got the bonus point this week also, is right there with only one point separating him and BleacherTrainer. Third place is up for grabs right now with a tie between our one and only Farmer Hall and Coach, who both have 56 points.
This week, SlapStick00 was the most fearless forecaster getting 9 out of 10 picks correct and like mentioned earlier, Eaglealum got the bonus point by guessing 153 yards for P.J. Keith of Mo Valley who had 214 yards on 30 carries according to the Gazette in Mo Valley's loss.
Ladies and Gents, your up-to-date standings...

*Since this coming weeks picks, and the upcoming weeks, are all based on the playoffs, I'm going to be scoring just a little bit differently that way we can see who really can step it up and earn the number one spot on our forecast...

--The bonus points will be worth 2 points this week instead of 1
--The most Fearless Forecaster (whoever gets the most picks right) will get 1 bonus point
--Any forecaster who gets 8 out of 10 OR BETTER will also receive a bonus point.

So in essence, each forecaster has the opportunity to earn a total of 4 bonus points this week by (1) Getting the regular bonus point (2) Having the most picks correct and (3) having 8 or more posts correct.

Good luck this week gang !! If there's any questions about the scoring for the upcoming weeks, let me know.

Fearless Forecast Standings Updated for Week 10

Post by Roadie »

Official Standings after Week 10

Well, after a busy weekend of playoff football there were lots and lots of forecasters that got one or more bonus points added onto their score. There were, however, four forecasters that got all 10 picks correct. Those lucky few were Head Roadie, Central30, Eaglealum, and Coach. Out of those four, Head Roadie and Central30 also got the original bonus point correct so they got all four possible bonus points this week. Each forecaster that had 10 correct got 1 bonus point for having at least 8 of 10 correct and for having the most correct. Like I said, there were many that had 8 or better correct and they have their bonus point figured in along with picking the team who would score the least, which there were several teams that could have been picked because they got shut out.
Out of all our forecasters, once again Bleachertrainer was able to stay in the lead with a total of 71 points. Eaglealum is still very close to him with 70 points so it's still up in the air at this point. But after all that, I finally have your up-to-date standings...
