I agree with HR, Michigan and K State are playing as good or better than the top three.

Without a playoff there will be no clear cut champion. The computer that was supposed to solve the problems has only created more.

I read this morning in the paper that there might be Co-Champs if USC beats Michigan. What a Joke! There weren't co-champs when PSU finished undefeated in '93 and were undefeated! This whole BCS is corrupt along with the NCAA and no one will be held accountable.

BCS

Post by Wrasslerfan »

In My Opnion Oklahoma Should not be in the BCS Title game since they lost to K-State by 28 on Saturday. The BCS was designed to have a number 1 vs number 2 and the only thing the bcs thinks about is the game between Number 1 and number 2 and they are not really concerned with the other poll because it doesent really matter to the bcs ppl that usc finished number 1 in the other polls but third in the BCS standings below LSU and Oklahoma. The BCS should be thrown out and we should go back to the old system and have the national championship shared like in 1997 when Nebraska and Michigan Shared the national title and if one of the teams won the title we wouldnt be in this BCS mess
we are in right now.

An LSU v. USC match-up would be for the books. They are both extremely talented. Don't get me wrong, OU is talented as well, but LSU nor USC lost by 28!!

I'm glad things worked out the way they did cause the only way they will ever get to a play off system is for the BCS to be completly screwed up with lots of contriversy and short fallings. Everyone has talked about OU, USC & LSU and deservingly so but in a playoff system WVU may have been the hottest team at the end and will not have a chance to prove it because of the lousy start of the season they had. I think from what I saw they may be the most physical team alaround in the country.

i hate the bcs rankings and all that bull crap like say if penn state was ranked #1 and they lost 1 game as bad as the Sooners did they'd probably drop out of the top 10 but if one of those Florida teams lost one they'd stay in the top 5 to 3 like coach said and alot of other people they need to have the freakin playoffs!

Unfortunately the BCS is with us until 2006. However, there is nothing to say that some changes can't be made along the way to make the best of a bad situation. The main change that needs to be made is that you can't be playing for the national title if you don't win your own conference. Oklahoma has the chance to be the best team in the country when they're not even the best team in the Big XII.

The other change that must be made is that if there is a consensus #1 and #2 in the polls then the BSc will be overridden and those 2 teams will play for the natl championship. This would have been the case this year since USC and LSU were 1 and 2 in the AP and Coaches Polls.

Well to me it is the best team, not who the coaches vote the last week. Oklahoma is very good, I feel the best, they just picked wrong week to lose.
