Michael Boytim of the Altoona Mirror indicated the Juniata Valley girls are unable to host a first round playoff game on Wednesday due to the lack of seating in their gym.

What other schools would fall into that category?

That seems a little odd, because Ferndale played host to Bishop Carroll a couple years ago.

So size does matter?

Saint Joseph's girls are in the same boat. Hopefully both schools will be able to find acceptable alternatives.

I'm guessing Ferndale and Harmony would not be able to host games (in any given year) with this new rule in place.

JV girls will play at Hollidaysburg. Appears they were the only host school affected by the new rule.

Overheard last nt. that Haylee Smith has a broken hand. Ouch, that hurts JV's chances.

St. Joe’s was also affected by the capacity restraints and will play at Bald Eagle Area.

Does Claysburg have a decent size gym? Was surprised the Everett/Bellwood game is there tomorrow.
