Good Luck to all, especially Portage. This Kennedy Catholic running joke is just ridiculous. You dominate the lower classifications for years and deny recruiting, bump up to the largest classification, win the entire thing in 2019, two years later back down to AA. Where's the success factor there? They literally won 6A two years ago and are down to AA now. After what they would call a down year last year at 13-9.

Why is it that every team still playing, from OUR area, girls and all but 1 boys, has to travel over 2 hrs? WTH.

This is the state playoffs right? These should be played on neutral site courts. If I’m a public school, I’m leaving the PIAA and making our own league. Kennedy Catholic should be audited and suspended. The PIAA doesn’t look into them since they are getting money from them, that’s the only thing that makes sense.

First off, teams are playing @ home because ina COVID world it’s difficult to find schools willing to host 2 teams that don’t belong to them. Second, as far as kennedy, the PIAA success factors are a 2 year period. I’m assuming they didn’t have the required amount of success points to stay up. That’s why BG got bumped up. They had enough with the points and at least a transfer. I’d assume they would probably bump back down to AA if they aren’t as successful in this year and the next. Just can’t make people happy at all with this stuff.

Yes, BG makes sense, but KC went from 6A to 2A. I understand there is two year windows that they look at, but a 1A school played 6A and won the whole thing now down to 2A. That's a huge drop when their success was far exceeding them just winning 1A.

But what about 7 consecutive district titles, undefeated season, #1 ranking in the state, having to travel 182 miles to be against a 20-3 team that won their 1st district title. Then top that with if they win tonight, have to travel again, to either Punxsy, which is bad enough, or to Mohawk, just over 100 miles & west of New Castle. Totally fair, right? Plus, PIAA has always been about the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. Have it at a neutral site same as before and let a few more fans in. It has NEVER been proven that ANYONE has contracted Covid from attending a restricted gym capacity. But WallyWorld and the big BOXes are fully open.

C'mon man, it's all about following the science with these venue limitations.

Penns Manor girls are traveling 25 minutes to Central Cambria. Cambridge Springs is doing the over 2 hour trip here.
