This Imani Christian team isn't an immovable object, can certainly be beat, but this stuff at the single A level drives me nuts. Then to watch the Pittsburgh folks worship Imani and Bishop Canevin for being amazing for such small schools.......No private school should ever play at the lowest level. Kennedy winning at 1A and then 6A should speak enough for that. I don't care that this stuff goes on, but it shouldn't be allowed at 1A.

1A boys quarter finals, 4/4 privates, elite 8, 7/8, and the sweet sixteen was 13 out of sixteen were private schools. It's not by chance or working harder.

To be honest, I’d prefer 3A or higher, just because 2A is still just upper 1A from the 4 class system. Same teams dominating. I can’t stand the arguments against it, which is usually “but we’re a small school”. Not when you measure the quality of the 50 kids vs 50 randoms living in one district. There’s a clear advantage, worst in basketball. I don’t care that it happens, but they shouldn’t be doing it at the lowest levels. I'm praying Williamsburg and Portage girls can win for a D6 State Championship. That'd be pretty sweet.

All 1A boys and girls are private. Only 9 of 12 boys teams are private. Again, I don’t care what they do. It makes sense, but don’t play public schools for a championship then parade around. I would bet since KC boys lost in semis that they’ll try to move back to 1A

Something has to be done to handicap the privates, parochials. Nobody in the PIAA has any balls or backbone.
