[left]Overall I think D-5 had a good showing, some surpises, both good and bad. So far we have 8 tickets to Hershey punched.


106- Holderbaum(CR) & Lee(Ber) still alive in consy's
113- Williams(CR) has a surprising run into the semi's where he meets D-7 champ Dovshek of Benton
         Cornell(Ev) had a rough QF but rebounded in the consy's
120- Dawson(HFH) is into the semi's facing  D-7 champ Powers
         Brown(CR) & Furry(NS) still alive
126- Rough time at this weight with all 3 wrestling going 0-2
132- Flaherty(EV) into the semi's where he will meet Dowling out of D-7
         Miller(CR) & Flouse(NBC) square off in consy round 2
138- Lee(Ber) alive in the consy's
145- McCoy fall and MD en route to the semi's against Bulsak of South Park
        Baker(NS) & Graeff(HFH) draw each other in consy round 2
152- Supanick(NS) alive in the consy's
160- Deremer(CR) MD & TF into the semi's where he face Baney of Huntington
170- McGill Fall in 22 seconds and TF his way into the semi-finals against D-7 champ Hall
        Wills(EV) had a nice prelim win and is still alive in the consy's
182- Hutzell(MEY) is having a great run so far and is into the semi's where he will face D-7 champ Fundy
        Graham(EV) was upset his QF match but is still alive in the wrestlebacks
        Dull(CR) is also still alive in the consy's
195- Tremain(NS), Crouse(CR), and Fernandez(Bed) are all alive in the consy's with Crouse and Fernandez meeting up in consy rd 2
220- Harvey(MEY), Augustine(NS), and Greise(Bed) all alive in the wrestlebacks
285- Cahill(Ber) has two falls on his trip to the semi's where he draws D-6 champ Winfield
        Peterson(EV) is still alive in the consy's

Overall not a bad start for D-5, we lost some that I think we were expected to win, but also won some that I think we were expected to lose. There are 29 still alive out of the 42 we sent. With 8 headed into the semi's and 21 still alive in the consy's.[/left]

Overall I thought it's a down year for D6 , but looks like the power is just spread out well with D6 having 15 in finals

First time I got to see this much D5 wrestling and I have to say unless they were heavily favored they sat back and didn't wrestle and it paid off a few times.  Disappointed at the lack of stall calls (or fleeing/refuse to wrestle) from the officials.  It's too easy to go up by 2 and cruise.   Just my opinion of course.

Any idea when State brackets are released? Anyone know how Deremer from Ridge is doing? Injury default in finals.
