Bedford’s head wrestling job
Re: Bedford’s head wrestling job
A side note, I wouldn't say there is "no issues of race or bullying". Recent events in the school have proven that, but I believe it is present in ALL schools, it just hasn't surfaced yet in others.
It ain't over until it's over.

Re: Bedford’s head wrestling job
IIRC it was a facebook post (or maybe IG?) where he threw everyone under the bus for not hiring him. Said something to effect of Elementary parents being on the hiring panel, and should not have been. Went on tirade basically. Rumor had it bedford assembled some community panel to make the hire last year. Had parents, school board members, and outside community on it.Wrasslerfan wrote: ↑April 30th, 2024, 11:38 pmwhat exactly happened with ripple last summer never heard this particular story beforewrestler02 wrote: ↑April 16th, 2024, 10:43 am Rumor at Orchard is elder Ripple put in. Bedford has hired Tanner Ripple.
Re: Bedford’s head wrestling job
Ok, not the Ripple that was mentioned earlier.
But, Tanner was a great wrestler for Bedford back in his time and I know he has been around coaching for years in Bedford and Everett. This should be a good hire for Bedford. I hadn't heard his name mentioned at all through the process, but atleast Bedford got their guy and he has been coaching a while. So you know there shouldn't be any of the shenanigans going on like they dealt with last year.
Any word on who he has to help him?

I believe some of the former jr high assistants as well as some of the names mentioned throughout this thread will be in the room but they have not named the official structure of the staff yet.

If it can’t be a creps, tanner will be a good one. It’s going to be tough following up the run the last coach had tho.

Re: Bedford’s head wrestling job
Safe and solid hire for Bedford, but won't move the needle much in terms of bringing them back to glory. Ridge is going to be on top for the foreseeable future, and don't see that changing. Problem is bedford is happy to place kids in Districts, and that is a fine goal, but Ridge has loftier expectations.
Re: Bedford’s head wrestling job
Lol,
Ridge and Bishop McCort are competing in a different realm then everyone else in the entire area.. I mean look at the Ridge wrestlers that are doing things beyond the area. How many a "homegrown" compared to transplants?? BM same deal although with a private school it's somewhat expected.
As far as moving the needle much, I'm guessing as long as he doesn't move the "needle" in the direction that Cahill did, Bedford fans will probably be pretty happy. I mean I'd say if he shows up for work, runs practices and doesn't make false allegations of racism it's a successful 1st year, anyway.
. Bedford tried to hire the "big" name last year and it blew up in their faces.
