Local Talent
Numerous local teams and individual performances are holding high marks among the state. Teams that are currently ranked in the top 20 in their respective classifications are:
A: Rockwood 8-2 - 12th, Juniata Valley 6-5 - 15th and Bishop Carroll 4-3-1 - 19th
AA: Conemaugh Township 9-1 - 6th, Southern Huntingdon 9-1 - 8th, Bishop McCort 6-2-1 - 17th,
AAA: Tyrone 10-1 - 1st, Phillipsburg 8-1 - 2nd, Mount Union 11-0 - 3rd, Ligonier 9-0 - 5th, Central 7-5 - 12th, Huntingdon 5-6 - 14th
AAAA: Bellefonte 5-3 - 3rd, Forest Hills 7-1 - 7th, Somerset 7-2 - 12th, Clearfield 6-4 - 14th
Both Everett and Meyersdale were also listed in the rankings, but they are ranked in the incorrect classification. Meyersdale should be in AA in place of A and Everett should be in AA in place of AAA. Definitely makes for a competitive AA in District V. AAA is District VI looks strong at this point in the season. Perhaps there are other errors listed. This information was all gathered through looking at MaxPreps. Dont kill the messenger.
Stat leaders in the top of the state (all classifications):
Homerun Leaders: 3 - Quinn Zinoble JV, Dixon Phillipsburg, Reynolds Windber, Shope F. Hills,
Stolen Bases: Layton Windber 16, Schueltz Ligonier 14,
ERA: Emert Rockwood 0.00,
Strikeouts: Foster Conemaugh Township 60, Gearhart Mt. Union 40, Luennsmann Bellwood 40,
Not a bad representation for our area.

Re: Local Talent
AAA is going to be a bloodbath come playoff time. Tyrone and Mount Union play each other this Friday, so that should be a good game to catch.

Re: Local Talent
Bishop McCort is A-heard it takes a bit for the rankings to reflect new classifications
