I’m guessing the Osborne Street AC might be in favor of the proposed bill to separate public and non-public schools for playoff purposes?  It would be the non-public state champ.

Eh, doubtful. I’m assuming they just would have rather of won yesterday if I had to guess.

I agree.  However, under the new proposal they would get another chance.  As private school champ they would get to play the winner of the West Middlesex-Greenwood, i.e., the public school championship game for the right to be declared overall champion.  I don't think this is what the busy bodies who came up with this crap intended!
