Roger Take A Knee

Post by wallpaper »

The NFL’s commish apologizes for past “sins” and endorses taking a knee during the National Anthem.
There needs to be a new leader with the guts to stand up for what is right and not cower to pressure.
Our flag, our anthem, our monuments were paid for dearly with the lives of the military. This is a slap in their face.

It’s vogue to rename military bases and tearing down monuments. To erase history. To allow “protests” ie. criminals to burn and pillage businesses. What’s next? Books? Schools? Religion?

Instead of NFL it should be NFM- Not For Me

Don't sing it. Don't play it. No debating.
Go to a high school foofball game this fall the teams are never on the field when the anthem is played. .

Roger Take A Knee

Agreed, if athletes want to make the anthem and flag a prop for their causes, simply stop playing it before games. Such a shame that we have gotten to this point. As much as I initially missed pro sports except basketball, I have found many other productive things to fill my time. If the games come back and they start to kneel, I just won't watch - pretty simple.

I agree Goodell is a coward, but for different reasons. Bowed down to a joke of a president years ago instead of sticking up for his players and what is right.

But yea outside of sporting events, I’ve only heard the anthem a few times in my life. Never understood the connection.

Either way, Goodell has many faults, but at least he’s not Rob Manfred, the worst major sports commissioner perhaps ever.

BTW, my screen name here has NOTHING to do with Rob Manfred.
