BLM Floored

Post by wallpaper »

Now “Pro “ basketball is planning to have Black Lives Matter painted on the floor of each venue.

“Pro” football is going to play the “black national anthem “ before each game.

How far is this going?
I can’t recall anyone I’ve spoken with over the years refer to themselves as Italian American, Canadian American, or Polish American. Yet there are those that continually say they are “African American.” How many were born in Africa? Aren’t we all just American? Having Black holidays, Black beauty contests , Black only Towns (ie. Florida) are ways of segregating themselves. I thought they were against segregation!

If you research BLM it’s a communist Marxist ideaology. There is fury when a black is killed by a non black yet nothing is said about the millions of black babies murdered by abortion or by black on black crimes.
This country will never be united if this continues

Not sure why this is surprising. Sports have been entwined with political and social issues for a long time. Playing the national anthem, military appreciation, pink in October, allowing political figures as honorary guests. It's all been connected for a long time, although I dont remember a president going to battle with all of them simultaneously. Trump was the grand marshal for the Daytona 500 and is bashing NASCAR in an election year. That part certainly is new.

Holidays come from all areas..... Black holidays come from experiences passed on through generations, ya know kind of like christmas or easter.

I chuckled a bit when my mom/dad cancelled their sunday ticket because the NFL is letting players kneel and such. I mentioned the kneeling came from an army vet, not the players. Also that when the kneeling happened years ago it lead to millions of NFL dollars being used to help inner city youth, so it actually did cause good to come out of it. She didnt even realize that part.

Now the redkins issue is one that should of been solved decades ago. Its a name ive even first hand have seen people use in a racist, deragatory way (turns out northern idaho is extremely racist all around).

Most of these things arent looking to "seperate" but instead allow you to see things from a different perspective and accept them.

Are white people offended by the Cleveland Browns? Not by the way they play, but by their name.

Why? What did Paul Brown do? Didn't he help racially integrate the NFL? Is that what you mean?

Does the AVERAGE sports fan know where the Browns got their name? No. All they hear is BROWN and judge from that. Most people think the Cincinnati Reds were communists.

I don't think the team named after Paul Brown has been deemed problematic.

But the average schmuck walking around doesn't know the source of the BROWNS team name. Who knows WHAT they think anymore.

This will never disappear as long as main stream media keeps making every single interaction about race. The news is not the news. Again, I think most of America can see the bull from both sides, but the majority of America are not the ones yelling the loudest. It's the crazies. I'm so tired of the narrative that Trump has divided this country, whenever the same crap was going on under Obama and you have all of these Biden, Schumer, Smith, Rogers, Pelosi, Feinstein that have been in office for decades. Give me something new, not this old garbage that's clinging to their thrones. You shouldn't be in your 80's making decisions about the country, right left, still cognitive. You're old, go home. I also don't want an AOC that's living in her crazy age 30 bubble with not much of a resume. Less politicians and more people who've actually commanded troops, owned a business, run a hospital, invented a rocket. :ymsick:
