Plain and simple.... its not that people have a problem if players in sports show support in an issue that player believes in, its they show support of an issue you dont agree with. If Tom Brady wore a MAGA hat during warm ups and democrats went after him for that you would be the first to say Brady should be allowed to his first ammendment right.

Same thing goes for governments stepping in to protect people, if its for a cause you agree with youll have no problem supporting it endlessly. When you dont you will call it tyranny and rant/protest/riot about it at all costs...
