Steelers

Post by footballfan1 »

I know a little about football and I am just wondering why the Steelers offensive lineman are not in 3 pt stances or have a hand on the ground? A broadscaster brought up this same question on the radio Monday night against the Bengals. It must be a technique thing obviously but watching some games today in the NFL I saw the saints linemen and vikings linemen in 3 pt stances. Steelers have a decent off line but am tired of watching them try to run block.

How much are they really missing Ramon Foster? The injury list has also screwed up the performance of the line play. If this team had a run game they might still be undefeated.

I think they use this technique because most of their plays are run pass options. Let's be honest they don't run that much.

Ramon Foster retired at the right time. The running game isn't the problem. The problem is the inability to stretch the field. When you can't throw consistently down the field and all the routes are under 10yds why would the safeties drop deep. That also goes for the linebackers . So pretty much your zone isn't leaving ten yards. So you always have 11 defenders within 10yds of the line of scrimmage. It's pretty hard to run when your going up against that every down. The only problems the Steelers have are injuries and Ben.

Steelers have a few issues now that have finally caught up.

Teams have figured out Bens quick throwing tendancies this season and are using it against him. Also the injuries on defense have started to stack up pretty hard, especially for middle linebackers. Not to mention no real bye week in over 10 weeks. A win tomorrow would be nice, just to they can potentially rest the next week.

They will be the first team in NFL history to start 11-0 and lose their next 6 games.

The Cleveland Browns will will their first division title since 1989, because hey, it's 2020.

No one needs to go???? Maybe need to start prepping a replacement for ben but the injuries have lined up on defense and offense has had their set of injuries too.
