P.S.F.C.A. All*Star Game is Set !!!
Re: P.S.F.C.A. All*Star Game is Set !!!
I said NOTHING about the selection process. And you mean to tell me that Franco has NO influence as head coach on who can be asked to play for him?????

You said nothing of the selection process!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Maybe it was another antediluvian, antiquated, cranky El User who said this then:
I see it as Head Coach Franco, from District 6, thought he was good. If the head coach had been from another western district, well............

By your theory on how the all-state team was selected, maybe Kawchak shouldn't have made 2nd team either. Who knows.
Just more in effort to cheapen earned accomplishments.....but are we surprised....nah, they're BM kids!
Again, why you even in this thread?

Re: P.S.F.C.A. All*Star Game is Set !!!
Just like the Head coach in the Lantzy game, Franco undoubtedly had some say-so in the selections. But that IS NOT the actual selection process, just a little "influence" on Franco's part. And why should I be off this thread? You've been using it as a soapbox for criticizing the selection of the all-state team. And when I bring up an example of the selection of the team using another BM kid as an example, you cry foul. I'm not cheapening anyone's accomplishments. You're crying because you think they did not get enough recognition. Again, what they've accomplished is STILL not good enough for you.
Re: P.S.F.C.A. All*Star Game is Set !!!
First you didn't say anything about the selection process then you did??
Then the coach has "some say so" in the election process..... But that IS NOT the actual selection process!
Clearly Moldy, you are confused and, getting up there in yrs., I am concerned!! Today's BC tutorial is on CONFUSION:
Confusion is the inability to think with your usual speed or clarity. When confused, you have difficulty focusing your attention and may feel disoriented. Confusion interferes with your ability to make decisions.
Confusion may come on suddenly or gradually over time, depending on the cause. Some confused people may behave aggressively (ring a bell).
Many times, confusion is temporary. Other times it is permanent and not curable.
Confusion may be caused by:
Alcohol intoxication (it was the w/e)
Low blood sugar
Head trauma or head injury (anyone whack you recently?)
Concussion
Fluid and electrolyte imbalance
Nutritional deficiencies, particularly niacin , thiamine, Vitamin C, or Vitamin B-12 (a daily supplement & one aspirin may be just what doctor ordered)
Fever
Sudden drop in body temperature (hypothermia)
Infections
Brain tumor
Illness in an elderly person
Sleep deprivation
Seizures
A confused person should not be left alone. To ensure a confused person's safety, physical restraints may be required in some situations (we hope you're not @ this stage) Try to keep the surroundings calm, quiet, and peaceful.
When visiting a person whose confusion is from a chronic disease, you should always introduce yourself each time you see them, no matter how well he or she once knew you. Placing a calendar and clock near the person can help keep him or her oriented (in your case EL M., you could walk around with a calendar and clock in your pockets) . When taking care of someone who is confused, frequently remind the person of his or her location. Talk to him or her about current events and plans for the day.... (like "okay Moldy it is Monday & you are on BC")
Call 911 if:
Confusion has come on suddenly or is accompanied by other symptoms like headache, feeling dizzy or faint, rapid pulse, slow or rapid breathing, cold or clammy skin, uncontrolled shivering, or fever.
Confusion has come on suddenly in someone with diabetes.
Confusion came on following a head injury.
The person becomes unconscious at any time.
If you have had ongoing confusion that came on gradually, call for an appointment with your doctor if you have never been evaluated for this problem.
Now for some Prevention Tips
Obtain a regular amount of sleep.
Eat a balanced diet with plenty of vitamins and minerals.
Don't drink alcohol in excess.
Keep careful control of your blood sugar if you have diabetes.
Quit smoking, which puts you at greater risk for lung diseases too.
And, as always, there is no charge for Psychological Tutorials!!

Is this YOUR defense mechanism? We've seen it before. You can't reply to comments made in a discussion so you give us some kind of psychological evaluation. I know, you're not a psychologist, but you play one on TV, right? You keep harping on how Lewis did not make the all-state team. That the system is somehow flawed because he was skipped when the team was selected. Well, what if someone would have said that better kids were ignored when Kawchak was selected 2nd team. What would have been your response then?

Re: P.S.F.C.A. All*Star Game is Set !!!
I talked to a Coach who was at the Big 33 selection meeting and the young man from BM who made the Big 33, I forget his name, was being talked allot by the coaches who evaluated the LB'ers and was an impressive linebacker. Where is this young man heading to play college ball at? I think all-state is a good process but it is also politicis and sometimes a name. I remember in 2002 the decent wrestler from Glendale, forgot his name, made first team all-state as a Linebacker and glendale had a bad team that year and he was average at best at LB. But his name was recognized by some writers and he was a first team small school first team LB. So I am slow here the young man who is playing in the Big 33 game was not all-state from BM?
OK..We all know that certain players get all state status because of a name..be it players name or coaches name. It might be based on what school they attend. Either way, Lewis was left off the team. He is garnering other honors such as playing in the All Star game, so lets leave it at that. Im tired of this debate. Every year there are players left off all state for a variety of reasons. Its not fair, but then again, life isn't fair. I hope this young man (if he even cares) can use this as motivation at the next level.
Re: P.S.F.C.A. All*Star Game is Set !!!
Is this MY defense mechanism????
You do have short term issues.....remember: First you didn't say anything about the selection process then you did admitted you said something about the selection process ??
Then the insightful: "the coach has "some say so" in the election process..... But that IS NOT the actual selection process!"
Look, to other viewers, I was actually baiting Moldo here throughout; I knew he would jump on my response about validation for S Lewis (who has garnered enough due recognition elsewhere) & is truly honored to be selected for the East/West game.
El M can't help himself (even if a little confused these days)...what can I say it's Feb.....been like 4 degrees for 5 weeks.....gotta mix it up a lil' bit.....just having a little fun!

Re: P.S.F.C.A. All*Star Game is Set !!!
WOW!! He sure has those defense mechanisms down pat. Now he's baiting. And at the expense of Lewis' accomplishments nevertheless. Too bad for Lewis his baiting had to bring up a dead issue. Answer the question. What would you have said if someone thought that others were more deserving than Kawchak, just like you thought Lewis was slighted?
