All AAABA team
City of Johnstown only. Who do you guys put on the list?
Re: All AAABA team
Off the top of my head.....Pete Vuckovich, Gene Pentz, Bill Cameron. Do you mean players who were from "in the city", or from the area who played in the city league? That expands the field a LOT!

If from out of Jtown, these fellows were pretty solid:
Andy Rush
Joe Vitko
Mike Holtz
Shawn Hillegas
Keith Williams
Tom Walter
Randy Mazey
Carey Grubb
Jon Szynal
Mike Sube
Glenn Illig
There are more, but this is a start.

Re: All AAABA team
I don't think Rush ever played in the Junior League.
Re: All AAABA team
In addition to those already named: Pete Pekich, Tony Joseph, Wally Dunford, George Azar, Ernie Oravetz, Ross Kott, (all from Johnstown) Mike Moore (Somerset), Michael Ryan (Indiana).
Someone will need to add some names from the under 45 or so generation.

True. I believe he got drafted by the Red Sox, then in the minors is when his arm went. Thanks TITAN for Goose Hillegas- how could I forget my homeboy.

Re: All AAABA team
The Wise Trailer's team circa about 1996,97,98 range had some very good players. Made a run at the national title as well. I can't remember their names, but I do remember the SS fielded EVERYTHING, had a good power hitter, and 2 really good pitchers.
Re: All AAABA team
Was Glenn Illig one of those Wise players? Randy Romagna?
