Pirates vs. Nationals April 30-May 3

Post by Crimson's Ghost »

Monday, 7:05 p.m. - Jameson Taillon (2-2 4.91) vs. Tanner Roark (1-2 3.77)
Tuesday, 7:05 p.m. - Chad Kuhl (3-1 4.55) vs. Max Scherzer (5-1 1.62)
Wednesday, 7:05 p.m. - Ivan Nova (2-1 3.32) vs. Stephen Strasburg (2-3 3.63)
Thursday, 1:05 p.m. - Steven Brault (2-1 4.97) vs. Jeremy Hellickson (0-0 4.11)

Pirates have won five in a row, off to their best start through 28 games since 1992.  Look to keep it rolling in DC.   Nationals are obviously off to a good team, just haven't gotten off to a great start just yet.   Scherzer/Strasburg back-to-back will be tough.

I see Brault is set to start Thursday.  Wonder if they'll move Williams there, and get Kingham a start on Friday? Kingham deserves a second start, and Brault would be the odd man out IMO.

Yes if Kingham doesn't get a shot in the rotation after that performance yesterday it would be ludicrous!

Absolutely! Feels good to have the possibility of having an upgraded horse in the stable and maybe the added fire power of Sum Yung Ho...things have to be projecting upward right???

I still think Kang is a bit of an unknown. But they're playing well right now. 7 games this week against talented teams like Washington and Milwaukee could change things though.

Williams is getting the start Thursday which likely means Kingham will get another shot on Friday!

I would love to see Osuna get an extended look with the big club.  He's absolutely raking in Indy.  I think moving him to 3B made it a tougher path for him with rookie Moran looking pretty good.  I'm sure he can still play right though!

I like Osuna's bat, just don't know where he plugs into the lineup at the moment.
