Im happy to sew JVR back in philly. Trading him was a huge mistake a few years back

Sheary only really produced in his career when he was on a wing with Crosby.  Pretty much anyone they have ever put with Crosby has produced.  GMJR probably would rather allocate that money into resigning Riley Sheahan who can play 2 ways, kill penalties, and win faceoffs and signing Matt Cullen who can do the same.  Sheary isn't a penalty killer, isn't a top line powerplay guy, and is an undersized winger.  The only way to keep him relevant in the lineup with to put him with Sid or Geno and we all know that Mike Sullivan likes to have wingers that he can move up and down his lineup.  Rust and Hagelin are comparable wingers and both have proven they can be productive in a 3rd or 4th line rule along with kill penalties.
