Winter sports

Post by Crimson's Ghost »

I don't have any information, but things are starting to look bleak with the pandemic heading into the colder weather months. Does anyone know what will happen with winter sports? Do we think they'll be played this year?

Based off this summer private youth events/pro sports will continue and school affiliated hs/college will be canceled. Would love to see someone fight back but they won’t because of lawsuits.

I have no confidence that fall sports will continue after this weekend.

Just heard Huntingdon will not be playing till beginning of February. School has gone to remote learning.

I really feel bad for the kids. It’s a shame we could not manage this pandemic better. 9 months later and it’s getting worse not better in our area. Pray there is winter sports.

In hindsight they should have never cancelled Spring sports, when we had very few cases. Not looking good for winter at all at this point. Everywhere I go, people are wearing masks. Not sure what else we can do at this point.

Can we hold out until baseball season? The 'goal line' keeps getting pushed further and further back.

To be fair the PIAA is focusing on other important matters, such as trying to shield itselffrom sunshine laws.

It isn’t like that everywhere around here, that’s for sure.
