When you make the state playoffs what first round matchup would have been considered fair for the District 5 champ?

D 5 would compete very well with a bracket that has them in with the D9 or D10(without Farrell)....Once other school(s) got boosted to 'AA' due to the success factor, D6 would match well also.

Farrell school board voted to re-enter
WPIAL. D10 has to approve next then d7. Not sure if they will but I found that interesting.

Interesting Maxpreps already has Lackawanna Trail on the Highspire schedule for 11/24. I guess they already know the result for this weekend.

Also how does Claysburg meet PIAA criteria to host playoff game?

Pretty nice facility for such a small school. Biggest gripe might be parking lot capacity.
It ain't over until it's over.

Claysburg's improvements to their facilities are very nice. It went from one of the worst, to one of the best in the ICC as far as field and pressbox facilities. Really the only negatives I saw when we were there for the Jr High ICC Championship game was:

1. Parking could be inadequate for larger matchups.
2. Visitor bleachers have to be mobile since it's also the baseball field, they added more than what was there before at least.
3. There is no good direct path from the locker rooms to the field.

I think it'll be a very nice venue for A and potentially AA playoffs in our area.

How bad is the parking situation? Why not play the game at Holidaysburg and at Mansion on Saturday at 1:00.

The parking will be a nightmare for the NBC game at Claysburg on Friday . Not only is there a football game, but the Claysburg Community theater is having their yearly production, The Sound of Music, in the school auditorium, which always draws a large crowd.

I was told there are about 110 tickets sold for the small community musical...not a full school production.

Parking will be fine.

I'm glad CK got the opportunity to host and I'm glad the game is on a Friday night.

If a school has to play their football games on the baseball field, there is absolutely no reason a neutral site playoff game should be played there
