Kind of thought this was interesting. Basically every school in the LHAC jumped up in enrollment except BG. Five teams bumped up a class.

Just as a Johnstown resident, it's interesting to see Johnstown, Westmont, Richland, and McCort all jump a little in enrollment. Looks like Johnstown is up to 5A for basketball as well.

Just casually watching the real estate market around Westmont, houses have not been staying on the market for very long.

as far as LeeCorso(Msnbc) that's just misinformation, back in the day westmont was always AA in a 4 class system, small AA, and since 2017 a smaller AAA school in a 6 class system. Student population as grown in the last years, a fairly priced nice house usually gets multiple offers over asking price. Houses have been selling quickly, where we have considered selling ours to downsize. Yes Westmont schools have issues they all do nothing where bisonlegend68 expresses, he has no idea same with know-it-all. Stick to what you know!

A lot of the school districts in Indiana county have it in the teachers con. There kids attend tuition free. Some bring them. Many just leave then in thier home district with thier friends.

Note that enrollment is NOT on the rise at these schools. The changes made in which PIAA counts enrollment is what has occurred to increase enrollments shown/counted for classification purposes. BG does not send kids to vo-tech. The public schools do and are now counting all of those kids instead of just 10% of them.

Thanks. That makes more sense. The Bellefonte jumping 100+ seemed off.

Mcruit enrollment up cause of the 50 wrestlers and families. They are the ones buying all the houses in Westmont. I saw on the tribune page many don’t even go to school. Just fly in on weekend to wrestle, then back out to train. Totally not fair for our area.

Who’s buying? Or should I ask what’s buying? LLCs paying cash or young couples obtaining long term financing?
