After a stellar performance from Shaq, Kobe, and Luke Walton.. thats right Luke Walton... the Lakers evended the series up at 1-1. Karl Malones injury might be devastating to the Lakers... but I think it's gonna take a bullet to the head to keep him off the court in this series. I still stand by my prediction.. Lakers in 5 or 6.

Detroit blew it...I don't agree with coaches when they are up 3 and won't foul with like 3 seconds left. Shaq handled the ball on that last possession with about 9 seconds left. I would have fouled him right there and then. They rely on their D though, and Kobe did hit a tough, tough shot to tie it.

Detroit MUST win 2 of 3 at home or they are done. If they win 1 out of 3 then they will be down 3-2, but they will be heading to LA to try and win the last 2....I doubt it. 2 of 3 at home is a MUST.

that was a great game during regualtion. in OT, the pistons were shell shocked and pretty much gave up.

karl malone and gary payton are not doing much of anything for the lakers right now. malone is hurt and payton just cant find a suitable role on this team.

about kobe's shot, i dont understand why the pistons had hamilton guard kobe at that point. rip is 3 inches shorter than kobe and clearly could not bother him enough on a jump shot. maybe prince got screened off or something, but that was just a defensive breakdown in my eyes. its a good thing kobe made that shot too. he took 2 simply retarded shots in the last 2 mins that put them in the situation where they needed a prayer at the end to win the game.

i expect detroit to take 2 of 3 at home and then head back to try and win game 6 or 7 in LA. the only way this is 5 game series is if detroit wins 3 in a row at home.

No team has ever won 3 in a row at home... but a team has won 3 in a row on the road...

The Lakers wont win 3 in a row on the road. Not with the Pistons playing defense like they have been. And the home crowd will have them playing much better than they did in LA. The Pistons might not win all 3 but they have to win at least 2.

Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a delaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary.

Impossible is nothing.

What is wrong with the Lakers? They are playing with no desire. The Pistons want it a lot more. If the Lakers don't win the next game, it's all over.

87% of the time, the team that wins game 3 in the nba finals wins the series. detroit should be smelling blood while the lakers need smelling salts. players that are hyped as much as kobe and shaq are should never score less than a combined 30 pts in a game. the lakers role players are not open like they are used to against those inferior western conference defenses. although the western conference has much more depth than the east, seems as if the east's best is just as good, if not better, than the west's.

The Lakers are getting the same open looks that they've gotten all year. They just aren't making the shots now. All teams leave Payton, Fisher, Rush, and Medvedenko wide open. It's all up to them to make the shots. They haven't made them in this series and that is what really has cost them. Also, Shaq and Kobe will have trouble scoring if a 3rd person can't step up and play. If they are doubled everytime they touch the ball, someone else has to make a shot. It just isn't happening right now.

I am not going to write the epitah for the Lakers yet. But they sure seem to have their back up against the wall. Everyone here in D-Town is all hyped and ready to stick a dagger in the Laker Corpse!
