You know what John Denver and WVU have in common? They both crashed and burned pretty recently.

i hate penn st, but i hate joepa even more. there is no doubt in my mind that he should quit or be fired if that school wants to win they need to get him out. his time is over!!!!!! but screw the whole big ten anyways.

A scary thought for PSU fans:

Paterno responded to any and all questions about Morelli playing against OSU with the statment: He is not adequatly prepared.

Guess who's the qb coach...

Yep, Jay Paterno

Disgusting, isnt it? Especially with the hardon JoePa has for Michael Robinson (he said they would have beat Minnessota, Iowa, and Purdue if he was the full time signal caller), its looking terribly grim for the Lions.

Sit a promising freshman and play a qb who threw 2 picks in his first 3 passes last week and see what happens in 3 years.. the same thing.. LOSSES

I love the Roaring Spring song, and I am gonna have to disagree with ancient enemy i think its easier to get good players than win football games. There are good players everywhere you have to make those players better to win. The coaches that develop players and are able to redshirt people are going to have much more success. For example PSU and FSU in the early 1990's no freshman or soph played a significant amount of time!

When your team is sliding (like PSU), why not play younger talent? It certainly cant hurt.

Now, i know great teams "Dont rebuild, they reload" (Can anyone say Miami?), but when you are rebuilding why not go with younger talent? In the PSU case, especially, with Mills proving to everyone for 4 years he cant get it done, Robinson showing incompetence at qb the past 2, and a highly tauted freshman on the bench. Logic says go with the younger guy, because when the season is lost, look to the future.

As for not wanting to short upperclassmen: Yes they stuck it out for all those years, yes they deserve it, and should get their shot, but with only 2 wins in 8 games, and a garunteed No Bowl bid, its time to put your focus on the good of the program, not this year's team.
