In 94, Nebraska defeated #2 Colorado 24-7 in early November - the Buffaloes only loss of the season. They then defeated #3 Miami 24-17 in the Orange Bowl.

In 95, Nebraska destroyed everyone, including #2 Florida 62-24.

In 97, Nebraska destroyed #3 Tennessee 42-17 in their bowl game.

Yes, it was pre-BCS, but they did play top teams and win convincingly. Of their three losses during those 5 years, one was to #1 Florida State in 93 by an 18-16 score, and one was to Arizona State in 95. The Sun Devils finished that season 11-1 with a loss in the Rose Bowl to some team from Columbus.

By the way, I think the two best teams PSU beat during their "National Championship" in 94 were Oregon and Michigan.

As for the Buckeyes going on probation, talk when it happens. Until then, you can just rest on the "fact" that your team LOSES honestly while the Buckeyes WIN.

Since when is there any bad blood between OSU and Penn State to begin with? Personally, Ohio State has been my #2 team since the day Tressel signed on the dotted line. I've never met a PSU fan that hated Ohio State.

And since when is 24-17 a "convincing" win? No one said Nebraska wasn't good, but the fact remains that all that crap was pre-BCS. Which means all those rankings are garbage as well. And Tennessee is possibly the most overrated program in the nation.

former wildcat

it must be kentucky wildcat because a northwestern wildcat would know that in 1982 when psu won the national championship, they played the most difficult schedule in the nation. psu had some very tough schedules before they got in the big 10. maybe you arent old enough to remember when pitt and syracuse were dominant teams

I am gonna do research to see what high school he went to, and if they were the Wildcats, because I have a feeling Former Wildcat is Maurice Clarett. Who else loves Ohio State?
