justacoach...your right about the speed thing, but then again ehsloni is right about Jerrica Smith, she is a very talented pitcher, anyone who disagrees with that...shouldnt be a coach

WOW, Juniata. I think you making a statement like that to justacoach about whoever does not see J.S. as a great pitcher should not be a coach is just a little off base. No pun intended. J.S. is a decent pitcher, and if she matures over the next year or so, adds a couple more pitches to her arsenal, learns to move the ball around more depending on the count and situation, whenever she graduates she will certainly be a great asset to a College team. Justacoach is absolutely right about how he distinguished the difference between a pitcher from a thrower, and I believe J.S. can develop into a better pitcher. There is always room for improvement. Jenny Finch is "good pitcher". One of the best, but there is none great, they are all beatable. However, to say you shouldn't be a coach because you believe or don't believe that someone is a "great pitcher" is certainly not an educated statement.

Coach K,

Jerrica Smith was a competitive pitcher with Shawna Clark, arguably one of the best pitchers ever from bedford county, in her FRESHMAN year. I understand the statements about differences between pitchers and throwers, but Smith is much closer to being a "real" pitcher than 99% of girls in our area.

Jerrica Smith is an awesome pitcher no matter what. She also helps out her own cause at the plate and that is what makes her an awesome ball player. However, who will be able to fill that position when she graduates. Has anyone ever seen Layton pitch. Is she as good as what EHSlonibelle08 says.

Do you think that this will be the year that Jerrica and her team win a district title?
