I also heard that it was in house with sheehan. Apparently Pittsburgh Central Catholic's offensive coordinator applied for the job, but the board did not want to open up an administration position.

:D Congratulations coach Sheehan. I hope the Administration and School Board gives you more backing than they have in recent years.
Remember.......PICK YOUR ASSISTANTS CAREFULLY!!!!!!!!!!!
And the old proverb of "Keep your friends close and your enemies closer" does not apply in this case. The enemy is very "slick". Cut out the cancer before it kills you.

Great job Westmont Hilltop School Board. Way to play it safe. Make the safe in-house hire. No disrespect to Sheehan, but come on. Bottom line, the school board did not want to give the football coach an administrative position. I know Ralph DeMarco was a finalist. I did not know that the other person was from PCC. Those in Westmont should have known what was coming when two of the three finalist needed a principal's job. Sheehan was a shoo-in at that point regardless of anything else. Are you kidding me? Sheehan over DeMarco and the O Coordinator from the AAAA State Champions.

Complete Joke!

To paraphrase Colonel Nathan Jeesep from "A Few Good Men", "All you did was weaken an athletic program today."

Bishop McCort should have waited until after Westmont hired their football coach before they started running commercials for prospective students.

They just got the best advertisement they could get. McCort will be AAA in footbal during the next cycle. How awesome will they be next year playing in Single-A with Triple-A enrollment.

Wallpaper, I am assuming that you are talking about Will Aurandt when you were talking about choosing assistants carefully. I don't understand why you would think he is the problem when ive seen in previous posts, people saying very good things about him. Explain why you call him "slick Willy" and why it would be so detrimental to keep him around.

Let's please call it what it is. The Board did not want to give the football coach an administrative position. Sheehan was the only candidate that did not require an administrative position. For the sake of argument, let's eliminate DeMarco from the conversation. Who would you hire? The "O" Coordinator from Pittsburgh Central Catholic or the "O" Coordinator from Westmont?

Remember we are talking about the "O" coordinator at a Catholic School. It seems to me that alot of people on BC are questioning the unfair advantage that Catholic schools have over public. Does this mean that a coach from a Catholic school is better than one from a public school? Would that person be as successful coaching at a public school? The grass always looks greener Donkeyball.
