that is true I guess I went by decades because I know FH won 100 in the 90s and was thinking 2000 they had 6 wins, but not sure of Tyrone just assumed.
Re: More of the same???
How about WHS 2005, you're telling me Kunuch, Rossi, and McKlosky weren't talented enough? BM wins because they alwaysDfense wins games wrote:kingdomofcrush07 wrote:Most teams in my opinion lack the level of quality athletes across the board to stop a team that has good athletes at every position year in and year out.

Its not too realistic to believe every kid who says that a McCort coach has approached them, and asked them to transfer to McCort. Do these kids make their own decisions now about transferring. This is not a kid issue, a coach would never go to a kid and ask it would probably go through the parents first. And honestly have heard this from a bunch of kids i played againt, they all say that some McCort coach asked them to transfer, and when i ask them what the coaches name was... silence, no response. I would say to 99% of these stories are untrue. Their is a much higher likelyhood that these kids were contacted by their peers who go to McCort, or even their peers parents.
And Brad and Nick did play against us the previous year, and we won 42 to 7 or something like that. By the way Brad probably could have played against us.

Re: More of the same???
BM makes it almost every year, but 2nd place is as good as not making the playoffs at all. They won the last 2 D6 AA Championships, no other stat matters. Being the 2nd place team in the district and first a couple of times doesn't make them "Class of D6 AA". The McCort bias on here is ridiculous at times, they have been great the last 2 years and are A TOP TEAM in D6. To say they are the class of D6 just because of what they did recently with the same good players as the year before is ignorant. And btw, they will not continue to be the class of D6 AA.. They will be playing Portage, North Star, etc. That is a joke.Dfense wins games wrote:
BTW how many times did FH or Tyrone got to the District Championship 6 times outta 7?
BM HAS been the class of D6 AA and will continue to...

This is a classic response from an obvious private school supporter. To say everyone on here who has said different people they know where approached by a private are liars is just plain stupid! How many different people have said it?Look at all the different posts, quite a few.The arguement I have always had is about classifications. Why did the PIAA set up classifications in the first place?I believe so the playing field would be a level one numbers wise.It has been demonstrated that in fact more privates get to and win more STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS in A and AA than do publics!Yet the difference of total public schools to private schools is at least 3 to1.Look at "the editorial" post your own people admit a recruiting problem. The public schools are just whining theory is a very old one.By the way defense wins games McCort is no longer the class of AA in a move to play better competition the moved to class A,or wait I guess that would be a move down for this dominate power!Where is the logic here you dominate AA so you move down to A.I guess thats like the the Yankees winning there division and then moving down to AAA ball the following year.By the way I'm not a liar!Dfense wins games wrote:"We cant win because BM recruits"
in all actuallity its "We cant win because we make excuses"

Re: More of the same???
So we can believe everyone who says they were called and recruited by McCort right. Do you have names of coaches, dates? A statement without facts to back it up is just that a statement. get some facts then i will listen to this until then its just BS.
I mean if i get enough people to say the sky is purple is it true?

Can't say I know anyone from McCort who was recruited but as I have said in the past I know a coach at another district 6 private who said off the record we recruit.I guess this is like the steroid issue with Barry Bonds,he swears he never did any and the majority of the sports world says he did it.

Re: More of the same???
Username6 you and a few of the private school boosters need to own up to some harsh facts! Private schools recruit period.Whether it is kids telling other kids to come and play, boosters or coaches it is the same, RECRUITING!By definition if you go to another school for athletic reasons you are in fact breaking rules. If you don't have the guts to own up to it so be it.Don't try to wrap it up in a package of we are so great because we train harder or we have better coaches etc.Fact is it's just alot easier to transfer to a private for athletic reasons.Tuitions aren't all the same for everybody at these schools either are they? Why?Boosters and others want to see the athletic programs do well to draw more athletes to these schools. The whole system sounds like college athletics to me.The difference is it's legal in college(recruiting).I again say when an assitant superintendent for the Diocese of pittsburgh says that there is a problem, why can't you own up and admit it too.I think a man in his position has more insight involving the subject than you ,I or anyone on here.

Re: More of the same???
According to usatf oldfart's logic, having a bad program could be considered anyother attempt by private schools to recruit?
Re: More of the same???
crimson - prove to me that bm, bc and bg do not recruit. Oh never mind you already did in your previous post. You said that a coach from BM would never approach a kid, he or she would approach a parent. I guess you said a mouthful there pal. BM DOES recruit. And you proved it! You gave us the cold hard facts! Thanks.
