FAIR... You need to read the excellent piece of writing from username6. He indicated that the best thing for all of these schools is to send their best players to Osborne Street. This will benefit all parties involved. These communities just don't understand how lucky they really are when their stars/potential stars leave for greener pastures. I'm sure that they will eventually understand fully, but it is difficult to understand.

Sneakers wrote:And to think they'll be competing for the same District championship as a Williamsburg, Ferndale, a Saltsburg, a Claysburg...real fair for these teams and these communities.
And this is the main problem with privates. There are those on here that say "Quit complaining and build your program." or "The number of students don't make a difference." Tell this to these schools where some have around 40-50 per class and no access to kids from other districts. I don't see any way that even the most enthusiastic McCort supporters can believe that this is fair.

Everytime the Commonwealth releases the statistics, Westmont Hilltop and Bishop McCort are just about equal in graduation rates and percentage of students who continue their education. Both have equally strong academic performance and results. This begs the question why one would transfer from WH to BM. To fully understand the gospels?

Maybe he wants to wear a tie every day. That could be it.

graduates prove that mccort has more capabilities of getting kids into the next level . although public schools have every right to be upset with this move . but its about merriman here ..... he just wants the best shot he has at playing at the next level

makes sense to me ?

So what you are saying is that he transfered for athletic intent. Yea, that really makes sense.

For the hundredth time, it is illegal for a student to transfer for athletic reasons, whether it benefits him later on in life or not. So it doesn't make sense at all. And either does a principal or coach accepting him into a program when he knows that athletics was/is the reason for the transfer.

From what I know about Merriman is that he has trouble understand what a pitch right is. How is he going to be able to understand all the new terminology at BM?

Did Brad Kanuch and Jim Kanuch play for Westy? I think Penn State and Uconn are Division I programs.
